How to Play
🎯 Goal — Wipe out the enemy. A side is only defeated once it has no settlements and fewer than 5 units left — enough survivors can march somewhere fertile and rebuild.
🧍 Units — One unit type, three switchable roles: Deploy fights, Supply hauls food and runs supply routes, Farmer grows food working a settlement's fields. Switch roles any time from the selection panel.
🌾 Food — Every unit eats. Armies stay fed inside your own territory; beyond it, toggle Pillage to live off the land you're on, or run a Supply route from a settlement. Hungry armies fight worse — and starve at zero. Caravans travel light: they die fast and never fight back, so escort them or route them through your own land.
🏠 Settlements — Cost 5 units to found; build on fertile land. Each runs one mode: Farm (grow population), train Supply/Deploy units, or Stockpile food. A garrisoned town defends its walls hard; an empty one falls in seconds.
🧱 Walls — Any units can build a wall: pick Wall, then click where the line starts and where it ends (more hands build faster). Your units cross freely; enemies must break through. Walls can go over your own farmland — each such tile costs that settlement a plot (the preview marks them amber) — but never over the enemy's. Tearing a wall out ruins the ground it stood on: the plot is tilled again at once, but scorched and barren, recovering slowly on its own and much faster with a farmer working it. Garrison up to 8 units per tile — a manned wall (or one with a garrison within 1 tile) holds hard and strikes enemies next to or diagonal from it; an unmanned, uncovered wall crumbles in seconds. On Normal and Hard the enemy commander builds walls too — and a wall you haven't scouted won't show on your map until you do. On Hard it also breaches yours, and sends raiding parties after your caravans and field hands. On Very Hard it mans and resupplies its walls — including the plugs it drops across mountain passes.
🕹️ Controls — Touch: tap a blob to select, tap ground to move, tap an enemy to attack; tap your selection again for actions (Build, Pillage, Split…). Desktop: left-click selects, right-click moves or attacks, drag box-selects, wheel zooms. Hold ✂️ Split, Recall or Field on a phone to slide a count; the numbered chips on the left edge are control groups.
⚔️ Formations — Two of your groups only join up when they end up stacked on the same spot, so you can hold a reserve beside your army. Groups hitting one enemy from different sides stay separate on purpose: a group striking from behind hits harder, so a pincer is worth setting up.
Everything else — sieges, flanking, raiding caravans — you'll pick up as you play.
